Tracing the history of graphical interface design from Xerox PARC to the Apple Macintosh, this GitHub project by undergraduate student Harvey Nguyen profiles designer Susan Kare and then translates one of her pixel-based icon sketches back into the physical world by hand-embroidering a 16×32-pixel grid onto fabric to explore the relationship between digital design and textile craft.
