Web Publishing Series: Representing Yourself and Your Research Online – Part IV

This workshop will be an introduction to the WordPress Content Management System. It will cover how to navigate the backend dashboard, how to use the WordPress block editor to build a site, and how to import and modify theme demo content to create a WordPress site.

If you would like to follow along with the workshop, it is recommended (but not required) that you have a WordPress site with which to experiment. Options for obtaining webspace will be discussed in part 1 of the workshop series. Students and faculty in the humanities at UCLA can acquire a free domain and server space through HumSpace on which they can install WordPress. HumSpace sites will remain active for your tenure at UCLA.
